Welding gloves are protective gloves exclusively used by welding workers. They are one of the special protective products. The gloves are fire-resistant and thermally insulated, and can prevent the high temperature, molten metal and splash sparks from the welding process from hurting the workers’ hands. Welding gloves and welding masks are equally important to welders. Most of the welding gloves on the market are made of pigskin, cowhide, sheepskin, etc. to make split-finger or two-finger gloves. The entire length of the sleeve is generally greater than 18 cm, and the material is generally canvas or leather. Welding gloves should be made of wear-resistant, radiant heat resistant leather or a combination of cotton canvas and leather, and their length should not be less than 300 mm. They should be sewn strong, and welders should not wear damaged or damp gloves. When the welder works in a welding place that may be conductive, the welding gloves used should be made of insulating materials (or additional insulating layers), and can be used only after they have passed the 5000V withstand voltage test.
The first-class leather has uniform thickness, plump, soft and elastic, fine, uniform, firm, and uniform color. No greasy feeling; the second-class leather body lacks full elasticity, the leather surface is thick, and the color is slightly shaded. The seam of the palm and back of the welding glove should be inlaid with clip strips. Use chrome-tanned cowhide or pigskin for the striped leather.
